This is an application for the job of Accountant. As a recent graduate from George Mason University, I get Master in Accounting degree. I saw your recent posting on Indeed website for finding a Staff Accountant attracted me because it completely related to my major and job interests. I am competent to record journal entries, clarify different accounts, analyze general ledger accounts, prepare financial statement at the end of fiscal year and so on. Due to my excellent professional knowledge, I believe I have ability to do this job and I am fitted with this job.
I have abundant study experience and internship experience in accouning. My bachelor degree and master degree were both accounting, and during undergraduate and graduate study, I learnt so many courses that totally match with the requirements of this position, such as intermediate accounting, taxation, and audit and assurance service. Additionally, I had two internship experience related to accounting and audit that improved my professional skills in reality and broaden my professional field horizon. These experiences can be my strong background and basis to help me better adjust to the requirement of this job.
To be more specific about my experience, I participated the first internship in Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Company as an accounting assistant to do basic accounting work. During this internship, I not only accumulated the official process of making financial statement, but also gained important information regarding general ledger accounts. The second internship was as an audit assistant in PricewaterhouseCoopers to study how to make audit to a real estate company. This valuable experience, although making audit is a very hard and tired work, taught me how to correctly make auditing depending on auditing process and also taught me that success belongs to the persevering. What’s more, according to the development of accounting standard, I can bring new accounting knowledge and existed professional knowledge to this position and to the company.
Besides many experience related to accounting, my lots of volunteer and activity experiences fostered writing, communication, and cooperation skills. Also, my computer skills in Office Software and Excel are also advanced. To summarize, I am really interested in this job, and I hope I could get this job and contribute my passion to this job.
